21 Day Life Glow Up Challenge:

{ Make 2021 your year with this challenge }

Day 1: Create a sleep routine that works for you.

On this first day work on figuring out what parts of your sleep routine need help and what you can do for a better sleep routine. This is such a helpful way to start bettering your life!

Day 2: Start getting more hydrated.

Increasing your water intake has so many health benefits. So on day 2 grab a water bottle with a tracker on it (here’s an affordable one) and start getting more water each day. Make sure to start bringing that water bottle with you everywhere to help you stay hydrated.

Day 3: Make a list of things you are thankful for.

Gratitude is an amazing way to start improving your mental wellness and help you feel more optimistic and satisfied with your life. So while you are improving your life make sure you are taking the time each day to be thankful for what you already have and where you are in life. I recommend practicing gratitude in some form every day.

Day 4: Find a meal planning system that works for you.

Meal planning is one of the most helpful ways that you can start improving your health. And ensuring that you are getting enough fruits and veggies each day. If you don’t have a meal plan system that works for you I recommend starting with a meal planner like this one!

Day 5: Try a new, fun type of exercise.

Next up is a very fun day- try a totally new exercise.

Take a crazy class, try barre workouts, go hiking! Anything new and exciting that could help motivate you to get more physical activity regularly.

Day 6: Start getting natural light every day.

Natural light is honestly so helpful and important for both your mental and physical wellness.

Which means that if you are trying to glow up every part of your life then you need to start incorporating consistent natural light. A great way is to go for walks in the morning or even just drinking your morning coffee outside works as well.

Day 7: Disconnect from your phone for an hour.

Getting off your phone is so important for keeping you in touch with those around you and being more present.

It also gives you an hour a day where you are focusing on yourself and not others!

If you need some help disconnecting from your phone daily then check out this guide here!

Day 8: Make a skincare routine that you love.

Next up is a probably anticipated day in any glow up challenge but it is so helpful. And important if you are trying to glow up physically!

Taking an hour or so to really read about what your skin type is and how you can take better care of your skin. And then start making an actual full skincare routine.

Day 9: Work on your five year plan.

Next up on this glow up challenge is a very fun day!

Five year plans are an amazing way to think about what you want to do and accomplish in the next few years. It can be very inspirational and motivating.

However, it’s important to remember that so many things don’t go as planned (2020 really taught us that!) so don’t stress if not everything on your five year plan happens.

Day 10: Find healthy recipes that you love.

This is a step that can have a huge long term impact on your life. When you learn to cook healthy recipes that you truly love and want to eat it helps you eat healthier food consistently forever.

I recommend starting a running list on this day of all the healthy recipes you know you like. Then when you try new recipes add them to that list! That way when you are making meal plans for a week you can pull from that list.

Day 11: Whiten your teeth.

Whitening your teeth is another physical glow up step but one that I think is fun and has instant gratification.

Grab some whitening strips like this and give it a try! But make sure to consult with your dentist if you have never whitened before or use any other mouth/teeth products!

Day 12: Make a list of books you want to read this year.

Personal growth is a big part of glowing up your life. And one of the best ways to work on personal growth is reading!

So take this day to make a list of books you want to read in the next year. I recommend focusing on personal growth, self development, and books about your passions/dreams.

Day 13: Refresh your hair!

This day is probably the most fun in my opinion. Take day 13 as a day to refresh your hair.

If you are someone who dyes your hair then make an appointment (or grab the dye if you do it at home) and commit to refreshing your color.

Don’t dye your hair? Consider getting that haircut you have been wanting!

Not up to that? Then just get a trim and do a hair mask at home.

Day 14: Declutter your home.

Next up is a day committing to glowing up your home and making your living space better for living in.

For a few hours on day 14 work on decluttering your home. If you aren’t sure where to start with decluttering then head over to this post here with 50 of the first items to declutter out of your home.

Day 15: Learn to wake up earlier.

Waking up early is something a lot of us dread but there are so many benefits to waking up earlier. That can help you really glow up your life.

It helps you get more done, feel more refreshed, and can be better for your physical health. If you need some tips for learning to wake up earlier check out this guide here.

Day 16: Create a vision board.

Vision boards are one of my favorite ways to glow up your life.

A vision board helps you really think about what you want your life to look like. Which is the first big step towards actually creating the life you want!

So either make a physical vision board or a digital vision board on day 16. If you want some inspiration for your digital vision board check this tutorial out.

Day 17: Do a social media audit.

Day 17 of the 21 day life glow up challenge is so important for your mental wellness.

A social media audit is just going through who you follow on all your social media platforms and determining if you like them and they bring you joy.

You don’t owe following anyone! If they cause you any sadness, anxiety, stress, etc then unfollow them!

Day 18: Start daily journaling.

On this day I recommend getting a journal if you don’t already have one and finding a list of daily journal prompts to start with.

I have a whole bunch of journal prompt posts you could check out:

Day 19: Find a cleaning schedule that works for you.

Keeping a clean house is very beneficial for your mental health and definitely a part of glowing up your whole life.

But I won’t tell you what to do exactly because having a clean home is very personal. What qualifies as “clean” and what kind of cleaning schedule works for you really depends on you and your preferences.

Remember that a glow up challenge for your whole life involves also creating a living space that encourages you to live your best life.

Day 20: Start learning a new language.

Expanding your knowledge is an amazing way to glow up yourself and learning a new language is a prime example of this.

There are so many awesome free YouTube videos and apps that can help you start to learn a new language for little to no cost. This is one of the days in this life glow up challenge that once you do it then it will help you start really becoming your best self in the long run.

Day 21: Talk positively to yourself.

The final day of this 21 day life glow up challenge is the one that I hope the most you don’t skip!

When you talk positively to yourself about yourself you are practicing self love. And ultimately you can never fully glow up until you are making an effort to love yourself!

Start each day moving forward saying a few positive things about yourself. And when you catch yourself thinking negative things about yourself try to counter it by thinking about all of your amazing and incredible qualities!
