Often when we talk about personal growth we are focusing on the long run. And of course that is so important and is how you will really change your life. But there are personal growth activities that you can do today that will start to right away help you grow into your best self. Which is what we will be talking about today. Below is some of the helpful things you can do for personal growth today!
And remember, that personal growth is a never ending journey. There will always be more that you can do to become your best self. Which is so exciting! And some tasks are ones that you can complete quickly one time, quickly often, or tasks that take a long time and a lot of effort. But no matter what they will help you become who you are wanting to be.
So let’s get into these things you can do for personal growth today!

Things You Can Do For Personal Growth Today!
Ideas for personal growth activities to do today:
Idea 1: Meditation.
This is a great way to work on becoming your best self and to grow as a person.
When you are meditating you are alone with your thoughts and focusing 100% of your energy on those thoughts. Which allows you to eliminate distractions and pressures from the rest of the world. Which ultimately can help you see yourself more realistically and become more aware.
I recommend either downloading a meditation app or just searching for videos on YouTube until you find a guided one that works for you as you start meditating. And then grab a yoga/meditation matand start working on meditation and figuring out your true self.
Idea 2: Make a list of your passions.
It’s simple but can really get you in touch with what you really love and what is a priority to you. Just sit down and grab a notebook and just start making a brainstormed list of all of the things you are passionate about and what inspires you.
Then you can go back over the list and evaluate which you believe are truly the most important to you. This will help you realize what you should focus on during your personal growth efforts. And it will help you stay in touch with your emotions and what you really want rather than what you may think you (or others) want to be a priority on the surface level.
Idea 3: Choose a few affirmations for today.
Positive daily affirmations are so helpful and wonderful for starting every day the right way.
Here are some of my favorite daily affirmations if you are new to doing them:
- I am capable of anything I want to do.
- I have learned the right skills to succeed.
- My future is determined by only me.
- I am worthy of love.
- I find joy in daily occurrences.
I highly recommend doing affirmations daily but even if you just do them today they can positively contribute to growing as a person.
Idea 4: Do a social media audit.
What this primarily means is going through and unfollowing anyone who you don’t enjoy following, doesn’t provide any benefits or entertainment, or who stressed you out. Remember you are not obligated to follow anyone!
And by taking a little time today to complete a social media audit you are setting yourself up for less stress and anxiety on days moving forward.
Idea 5: Journal.
You can either approach journaling with or without prompts. If you are new to journaling and feel a bit uncomfortable with it it is usually best to start with prompts and then start working your way towards journaling without prompts. But prompts or not journaling is a self awareness activity that can really help you with personal growth.

Idea 6: Start a habit journal
Starting a habit journal is a great way to start tracking your current habits and then forming new, positive habits.
Tracking new habits is the best way to make them actually stick. And making new positive habits is one of the best self growth ideas to truly better your life for the long term.
Idea 7: Make an ultimate goals list.
This is one of my personal favorites of the self growth ideas!
Making a huge list of every big and small goal you want to complete is so motivating. And it can really help you make sure you are staying on track with your big life goals.
Idea 8: Write a letter to yourself in 5,10, and 20 years.
This day is so great because it lets you really think about what you want your life to look like in the future.
It is also just a wonderful way to help you really motivate yourself to grow and improve. So that when you look back at those letters you can know you did it all!
