Signs that you are lacking that powerful spark from your life- that are honest and real because we can’t grow as a person without being honest with ourselves. But let’s get into it now without too much ramp up because the focus today is figuring out if your spark is gone, what’s causing the dimming and inspiring you to bring your spark back to life.

These are signs you might not feel like your life is the best it could be:

Sign 1: Frequently/ usually feeling bored

If you find yourself frequently bored, even when engaging in activities that used to bring you joy, it might be a sign of unfulfillment. A sign that your life is lacking that essential spark. The spark that brings you fulfillment in life and keeps things exciting!

Sign 2: Being restless and / or irritable

Feeling constantly restless and irritable can be a sign that you are in desperate need of a spark. This restlessness often stems from a subconscious desire for change or growth that is not being met. It can manifest as a feeling of being stuck or trapped in your current situation.

Sign 3: Struggling to find motivation

Escapism can look different for different people too- it can be presciently living in a fantasy world through games, books, etc. That’s not saying those are not fun hobbies but searching for any kind of escape to a different world/ life for more time than usual is a sign that your real life is lacking that spark that keeps you present in this world. A lack of fulfillment and spark can lead to withdrawing from social interactions. If you’re avoiding friends and family or finding it hard to connect with others, it may be because you feel disconnected from yourself and your own needs and desires.

It’s one thing to protect your peace, but it’s another when you need to be connecting with others for those connections that we all crave as humans. Isolating those that you love is a sign of a lot of concerns and the loss of spark is one of them. But there are also much more extreme situations that avoiding talking to loved ones is a sign of. If you find yourself constantly seeking approval or validation from others, it might be because you’re not finding it within yourself. This need for external validation can indicate that you’re not truly satisfied or confident in your own life choices and accomplishments.

What this looks like will vary drastically person to person but a few examples that you should evaluate how they look in your life are-

  • Social media validation: the comments, followers, or just general knowledge of certain people seeing your successes.
  • Career: constantly needing approval from those above you at work is a huge sign you are lacking in confidence and that spark is out of light.
  • Relationships: nothing is immune when your spark is involved and when you are lacking it your relationships can suffer too specifically with you needing a lot of re-assurance.
