In a world where time is sooo precious and demands are high, carving out just one hour each morning can make all the difference in setting the tone for a successful day ahead. With a thoughtful and strategic blend of mindfulness, movement, and goal-setting, this streamlined routine will empower you to seize the day and maximize your potential so you can work towards being your best self!
Imagine waking up each morning feeling refreshed and energized, ready to tackle whatever challenges lie ahead. That doesn’t just have to be something that you see idealistically displayed on your feeds. (Which don’t get me wrong- I LOVE that content but scrolling for inspo is nothing if you don’t use it to create a plan!). That is the goal we are going for and it’s possible. It won’t be the easiest journey unless you are way more naturally motivated in the morning than me 😉 but truly we can create a 60 (ish) minute productive morning routine that you are going to want to at least TRY to get out of bed for!
So let’s get into it-

The Most Productive One Hour Morning Routine
One hour morning routine for productivity:
- Wake Up Refreshed (5 minutes):
- Start your morning by waking up at the same time each day to regulate your body’s internal clock.
- Begin with a gentle stretch or deep breathing exercises to wake up your body and mind.
- Hydrate + Refresh (5 minutes):
- Begin your morning by hydrating your body. Drink a glass of water to replenish fluids lost overnight.
- Splash your face with cold water or take a quick shower to invigorate your senses and help you feel more alert.
- Basic Health (10 minutes):
- Take this time to commit to a health goal. Wanting to better your skincare routine? Make it apart here! Wanting to stretch more? Nows the time.
- Another option is to meditate- find a quiet space, close your eyes, and focus on your breath or use a guided meditation app to help center your thoughts.
- Set Intentions (5 minutes):
- Spend a few moments setting intentions for the day ahead. Visualize your goals and affirmations to guide your actions.
- This is also a good time to practice gratitude by reflecting on three things you’re thankful for and are looking forward to in the day ahead! Cultivating gratitude can really help you build a positive mindset and help you start your day with a positive vibe.
- Nutritious Breakfast (15 minutes):
- Fuel your body ASAP with a nutritious breakfast to provide sustained energy throughout the morning.
- Opt for a balanced meal rich in protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates, such as oatmeal with fruits and nuts or avocado toast with eggs.
- Plan Your Day (10 minutes):
- Take time to review your schedule and prioritize tasks for the day ahead.
- Use a planner or digital calendar to map out your day, allocating time blocks for important activities and deadlines. I have a freebie ones you can print here: free daily planners!
- Exercise or Movement (10 minutes):
- Incorporate physical activity into your morning routine to boost energy levels and enhance focus.
- Engage in a quick workout, brisk walk, or yoga session to get your blood flowing and stimulate your mind.
- Personal Growth or Learning (10 minutes):
- Dedicate time to personal growth and learning by reading a few pages of a motivational book or listening to a podcast.
- Choose content that inspires and educates you, helping you cultivate new skills and perspectives.
- Prepare for the Day (10ish minutes):
- Complete any remaining tasks to ensure you’re ready to tackle the day ahead.
- Pack your bag, organize your workspace, and gather any essentials you’ll need for the day.
That total is well 60ish minutes. Let’s be real- everybody’s needs are different. And our needs change within our own lives as well! So for some it’ll be more and for others less. Personally- my morning routine takes about 80 minutes because I have added in 10 minutes for just skin care
Also, let’s chat about how to stick to a morning routine after you create it. Because learning and creating a productive morning routine is really only half the battle!
So here are my best tips for sticking to a morning routine:
- Set a Consistent Wake-Up Time: Establishing a consistent wake-up time helps regulate your body’s internal clock and makes it easier to wake up each morning. Aim to wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends.
- Set Clear Goals and Intentions: Define clear goals and intentions for your morning routine. Knowing why you’re doing it and what you hope to achieve can provide motivation and purpose, making it easier to stick to your routine.
- Create Accountability: Share your morning routine goals with a friend, family member, or accountability partner. Having someone to support and encourage you can help keep you accountable and motivated to stick to your routine.
- Preparation is Key: Set yourself up for success by preparing the night before. Lay out your clothes, pack your bag, and organize any items you’ll need for your morning routine. This reduces decision-making and eliminates potential obstacles.
- Celebrate Small Wins: Acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. Each morning you stick to your routine is a step toward building a lasting habit. Use positive reinforcement to reinforce the behavior.

- Reflect and Adjust: Regularly reflect on your morning routine to assess what’s working well and what needs adjustment. Be open to making changes based on your experiences and evolving needs.
