The Best Spring Activities To Do With Your Friends

Spring day ideas to do with a friend:

Picnic in the Park: Gather your friends, pack a basket full of delicious snacks and treats, and head to your favorite park for a picnic. Enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and each other’s company as you lounge on blankets and soak in the springtime vibes.

This is also a super fun opportunity to head over to Pinterest and try out some new recipes! Look up some pasta salads or sangria ideas to inspire you to have the best spring picnic yet. Not really into cooking? Then head to your local Trader Joes and pick up cheese, crackers, cured meats etc and make a charcuterie spread for your picnic! Just as tasty and way less effort.

Hiking: Lace up your hiking boots and hit the trails with your friends. Explore local parks, nature reserves, or nearby hiking trails and enjoy the beauty of spring blooms, budding trees, and chirping birds along the way.

This is also an awesome opportunity to get to know your local nature better! And I love to do it with friends for two reasons-

A: hiking is the perfect time to catch up without societal distractions around you. Just your friends, you, and nature spending time together and focusing on a real and human connection.

B: SAFETY! I am never one to sugar coat reality, hiking alone is dangerous. Not only because bad people exist but (honestly more likely) you could fall and get injured. So hiking in a small group is wayyyy safer for you and your friends.

Outdoor Yoga: Take your yoga practice outdoors and enjoy a refreshing outdoor yoga session with your friends. Find a scenic spot in a park or garden, roll out your yoga mats, and flow through sun salutations while surrounded by nature.

Chances are there are also local yoga studios that offer outdoor yoga classes in the spring. I recommend following some on Instagram to see when they do special events like that!

Spring Cleaning Party: Turn spring cleaning into a fun and social event by hosting a spring cleaning party with your friends. Divide and conquer tasks like decluttering closets, organizing storage spaces, and sprucing up the yard, then celebrate your accomplishments with a potluck dinner or BBQ.

Make it a month long event and alternate between houses to help each other. Because let’s be oh so real- cleaning is a million times better when doing with friends rather than alone!

DIY Craft Day: Get creative with your friends and host a DIY craft day.

Choose a fun springtime project like making flower crowns, painting flower pots, or creating homemade bird feeders. Get crafty and let your imagination run wild! Don’t like one of those ideas? Then head over to Pinterest right now and get some inspiration for a spring project/craft that does sound like fun to you!

Outdoor Movie Night: Set up a projector in your backyard or local park and host an outdoor movie night under the stars. Invite your friends to bring blankets, snacks, and drinks and enjoy a classic movie or two alfresco style.

Farmers Market Trip: Visit a local farmers market with your friends and enjoy browsing fresh produce, artisanal goods, and handmade crafts. Sample tasty treats, pick up some fresh ingredients for a springtime meal, and support local vendors while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.

This is one of my personal favorites so I really hope that you give it a chance!

Springtime Photography Expedition: Grab your cameras or smartphones and embark on a springtime photography expedition with your friends. Explore scenic spots like botanical gardens, blooming cherry blossom trees, or fields of wildflowers, and capture the beauty of the season through your lens.

Outdoor Sports: Get active and enjoy some friendly competition with outdoor sports like frisbee, volleyball, or soccer. Head to a local park or sports field with your friends and enjoy some friendly games in the sunshine.

Bonfire and S’mores: Gather around a crackling bonfire with your friends and enjoy the warmth of the fire while roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. Share stories, laughter, and good times as you cozy up under the stars.
