10 Unique Wedding Arch Background Ideas!
Cool ideas for wedding background arches:
Idea 1: Sail arch shaped backdrop
This is such a unique shape (and a front runner for our personal wedding). I love that it is modern without being too over the top. And there are a ton of different things you could do with florals. You could put florals all over them. Or you could opt to do a few arrangements throughout it.
Whichever direction you go will be really cool and modern! Definitely unique while still being one that I think you will love forever.
Idea 2: Oval arch with grid
This is another unique option with a ton of floral arrangement ideas. Or you could make it really unique and get a neon sign or laser cut sign with your last name or a cute wedding saying to put on it.
Also, going to throw this out there, this would make a really cool seating chart! Every time I see it I think about how cool this would look as a seating chart. You could get a laser cut sign that says “take a seat” or something similar and then attach wither with ribbon or cool clothes line clips for paper or acrylic little signs with the seating assignments.
Idea 3: Gate wedding arch.
Love the gold on this but it also would be a really cool wedding backdrop in black or white! But the gate (or windowpane) shape is really unique. I am envisioning this with minimal florals and then a lot of candles with gold candlestick holders around it. This arch feature is such a modern and unique spin on a classic set up.
Idea 4: Round wedding arch
The florals in the picture aren’t included but imagine doing something similar – it would be a boho wedding dream! Or you could keep it minimalist and not add any florals. Or for a more rustic wedding this would look so cool with eucalyptus draped around the top of it.
If you aren’t in love with your ceremony location this would also work really great to make your pictures have a backdrop that you want. By adding floral arrangements to it or around it you can really make it what you want and kind of make any venue a “blank slate”.
Idea 5: Moon shaped arch
This is such a unique and trendy backdrop idea. If you are going with a celestial or boho theme this would be an incredible arch! But also with the right flowers it could work with a really dreamy, romantic setting and aesthetic as well. Also, with all the Friday wedding happening right now, if you are getting married later in the evening this arch with string lights on it to provide some additional light would be amazing!
Idea 6: Grid pillars
Grid pillars are a really cool alternative if you don’t want the “arch” look. The grids can be dressed up with florals and lights or left simple for a minimalist, modern look. Whatever you would want to do this is definitely a really cool alternative wedding backdrop! If you search on Etsy there are also ones that are black or gold depending on the style you want for your wedding day.
Idea 7: Diamond arch
Another really unique shape that you probably haven’t seen at a wedding before! I love the shape and it is perfect for adding a sign in the space in the middle. You could do a cool neon sign or a laser cut like the one in the picture with your last name or first names or just a cute saying! It also has a ton of opportunities for different florals but would also look really cool without any florals as well! Especially if whatever is behind it has a lot going on.
Idea 8: Triangle arches
This is the complete boho wedding dream! Add some florals (like some cool terra-cotta ones) to parts of the triangle or add some chiffon draping to it. Or of course you can leave it plain especially if you get one that is a thicker wood! Regardless this is a really fun idea for your wedding backdrop.
Idea 9: Triple point arch
I am totally obsessed with this arch! It is another one that is on the short list for us for our arch. It is traditional enough that I think it will age really well, but it is also has a unique and modern touch with the points at the top. I also totally love the greenery look in the example picture. And huge bonus that greenery is cheaper than florals usually.
Idea 10: Circle with bars
This is such a fun addition to any wedding background! I love the bar shapes within the circle. The perfect combination of modern and unique without being too over the top! You can totally dress this up with whatever florals you want that go with your wedding aesthetic.
