Gahanna Municipal Golf Course Guide

This past Saturday was the perfect warm and overcast morning for a round of golf. After looking at a couple course options that we could walk onto we choose the Gahanna Municipal Golf course.

I am by no means an expert golfer (seriously only golf for fun!!) but it’s one of my favorite activities and I love trying new courses and ranges. Before going to a new course I always try to look up the basic information online and found a lack of guides or reviews for the Gahanna Municipal Course so I’m hoping others will find this helpful.

Course Information

Cost: $12 per person.

(Additional 9 holes is $5.)

Holes: 9

Walk in option: yes

Rental: pull carts ($2)  and golf carts ($14) available for rent

Course Thoughts

Busyness: walking in at 9:30am on a Saturday there was no wait at all. By the time we finished around 11am there was a couple groups lined up but it appeared to be consistently flowing.

Course difficulty: to answer this honestly I can’t get distance to save my life and still scored decent. Not too many challenges or crazy distances. Definitely geared towards casual golfers like myself.

Atmosphere: casual which is my favorite. There wasn’t pressure put on other golfers and everyone (employees and fellow golfers) were all friendly and welcoming.

Surrounding the course is part of a walking path that leads up to the Creekside park area in Gahanna. There is beautiful photography opportunities up and down that trail so if you want something to do before or after golfing, then I highly recommend checking it out. You can even walk all the way to the Creekside plaza (really not too far of a walk!) and check out the new brewery Nostalgia or get a margarita at Local Cantina.

*Not pictured is the scared facial expression I make when I can’t see the flag at first! I was not kidding about not being able to get much distance in my drive haha *

FYI my skirt is from Head and I got it on Zulily which is one of my favorite flash sale sites. It was under $15! And my tank top is from Old Navy and was $12.

Can’t wait to check out more courses this summer in Columbus.

What is your favorite golf course in Ohio?!
